Anne

Role: Director, Deviser, Stage Design

Winter, 1775. On the stark Hook Peninsula of county Wexford, a family huddles together for refuge. By firelight, Anne recites poetry for her parents. In the midst of the fearsome storm, there comes a knock on the door. William Samhayne, a dark stranger, recounts tales of distant lands and strange creatures, charming his way into their home and young Anne's heart. It is a love story ending in tragedy; the tale of a woman struggling to withstand the forces of duty and deceit as they seek to draw her into darkness.
